Project Roar Tasmanian Emerging Leaders Program

Working in Tech, I bet you’ve often felt like the odd one out. Like you shouldn’t have a seat at the table. Maybe you sell yourself short and find you suffer from imposter syndrome? It’s easy to lack the confidence to realise your potential. Maybe you’re sick of applying for that promotion only to be disappointed when you don’t get it. Maybe you don’t even apply…

This is your chance to change that.

Welcome to Project Roar - Tasmanian Emerging Leaders Program.

The Project Roar Tasmanian Emerging Leadership Program is for females within the technology sector who want to lead with success, impact and inspiration.

The Program gives women the tools, information and confidence they need to be competitive in their industry, providing practical solutions so women know what they need to do, and how to do it, to set themselves up for success.

Our Leadership Program offers tangible tools and knowledge to develop necessary skills to succeed in leadership and organisations. It focusses on three key aspects of leadership – personal leadership, team leadership and business leadership.

Only 23% key technology senior and leadership are held by women.

Yet the organisational benefits of having women better represented in leadership roles includes:

-  Significant competitive advantage by improving the bottom line

-  Increased ability to attract, develop and retain talent

-  Better strategic execution

-  Increased success when navigating change.

Only 29% roles in STEM-qualified industries are held by women.

The technology field has one of the lowest representation of women. The promotion of women to leadership roles will address leadership in the technology field and also have a lasting effect as young women are attracted to the field when they are inspired and have the support of successful women leaders.
